San Diego Double Handed Championship

The San Diego Double Handed Championship Series is Southern California’s premier test of short-handed sailing skill, strategy, and endurance. Hosted jointly by Point Loma Yacht Club, Southwestern Yacht Club, and the Cortez Racing Association, the series consists of four challenging races designed to determine the region’s top double-handed team. With only two sailors aboard, competitors must master every aspect of racing—from sail trim and boat handling to navigation, tactics, and teamwork. The series rewards preparation, communication, and versatility across a variety of race courses and conditions. Whether you're a seasoned offshore racer or an accomplished club racer looking for a new challenge, the San Diego Double Handed Championship Series offers a unique opportunity to test your abilities against some of the area's most talented sailors.
