About the Club

Easygoing sailing on San Diego Bay.

Point Loma Yacht Club is an easygoing organization made up of — and designed for — people who just enjoy spending time in, on, and around the water.

The club traces its roots to a group of liveaboards at Marina Cortez in the early 1990s, and was officially founded in 1994. Three decades on, we’re still the same welcoming, unpretentious crew: a place where serious racers and recreational boaters share a dock, a start line, and a cold drink after.
